Curriculum Improvement Teams
Curriculum Improvement Teams (CIT) consist of the Department Chairs from all of the high school sites in the following subject areas:
Business
Choral Music
Counselors
English
Foreign Language
Industrial Technology
Instrumental Music (Band Directors)
Math
Physical Education
Science
Social Studies
Special Education
Theatre Arts
Visual Arts
CITs meet monthly to discuss a variety of subjects related to their academic areas. CITs are responsible for the following:
Recommend basic and supplemental textbooks to the Board of Trustees for possible adoption.
Review courses of study and recommend to the Board of Trustees for possible adoption.
Share instructional strategies which improve effective teaching.
Review student assessment data in order to improve curriculum and instruction.
Share other information related to the subject, e.g. conferences, professional publications, etc.
Each CIT is coordinated by an Administrative Liaison assigned to the group.
