This is the key for the worksheet completed in class on 4-12-13. There is one mistake on the key.  #5 describes two dependent events so P(A) + P(B) - P(A or B) = P(A and B).  Please check your notes the correct answer is 10%.

This problem came directly out of your textbook.

Here is the rocket ship problem as promised. It is worth 25 points and will be added to your homework score for chapter 5.  I tried to make the numbers work nicely but that was impossible so please use fractions for your "a" values and round your final answer to 3 decimal places. 

This problem is worth 25 extra credit points toward homework.  I will collect it on November 27th
