 WUHSD Summer Bowling League 2012
Sign-Up Yourself, Multiples or Full Teams of 4 Now
(registration ends on June 14th)

For the past 4 years, Whittier Union staffers have participated in a Summer Sports league and we will continue the tradition with Bowling once again. We typically average around 100 staff members every season...this year we want as many as possible to JOIN IN THE FUN! Click the link above to register for league play now. Below is some basic information for our league, we will of course go over a handful of the most important rules before play starts on the 19th of June.
  • What: WUHSD Summer Bowling League (Non sanctioned)
  • When: Every Tuesday from 6:30 to 9ish, starting June 19th and running 9 weeks until August  14th. The final Tuesday (Aug 14th) will be a championship tournament and dinner/awards banquet will immediately follow. The awards keep getting better and better each year, this year will be no different we promise :-)
  • Who: This year, the teams are open to anyone that would like to play, this includes family and friends. The only rules are that there must be at least 1 staff member on each team and current WUHSD students are not eligible to play (Personnel has made this recommendation)
  • Where:  AMF Friendly Hills Lanes in Whittier (off Whittier Blvd across from Whitwood)  Click here for directions
  • Cost: The cost will be $10 per person, each night.  This amount covers bowling for the 3 games and shoe rental. You are always welcome to bring your own ball and shoes. Please keep in mind that league players are responsible for paying their weekly dues when they miss a Tuesday game, unless the Sub bowler is willing to pay for them.

  • League Purpose/Info: This is designed to be a non competitive league, which is focused on staff comradery AND FUN!!!.If you cannot make it to all the games due to vacations or other scheduling conflicts, it is your responsibility to get a sub and to pay for the sub ahead of time. You are allowed to prebowl if you know you are going to miss, but you must give your money to your team rep so that teams' fees stay current. The bowling alley will keep track of stats every week and make them available at the front desk prior to the start of play.

If you have any questions regarding the league, rules, sign-ups etc...contact Erick Steelman. I'm really looking forward to another great season, thank you in advance for your participation. See you all soon on the alleys and get ready to hear some Vanilla Ice Ice Baby!
