Welcome Message:

Every year I'm excited about meeting new students.  Our new computer program, Zangle, has a picture component, so I've been able to see my students pictures as I'm planning for the new year.  This year for the first time in a long time, I'm teaching juniors again.  I love American Lit and am eager to help my students as they read The Scarlet Letter, Great Gatsby and The Crucible.  We have a lot to learn from each other.  My academic english skills classes will be working with The Whittier Daily News a couple of times a week, and looking at all aspects of reading comprehension.  Those CIT scores are going to skyrocket!  2009-2010 will be a year with lots of changes, challenges and success.  We're ready!
