The specific purpose of this corporation is to promote the growth of the percussive arts through competition, performance and educational activities and to encourage goodwill, good sportsmanship and camaraderie through such activities.
Winter Guard International (WGI) is known as the Sport of the Arts. It brings music to life through performance in a competitive format. WGI is the nonprofit youth organization leading the winter guard and indoor percussion activities. Now entering its 32nd year, the sport is evolving and growing, with over 11,000 participants at the Sport of the Arts World Championships this past April.
