CASH ONLY $55 on the day of delivery - May 17. If you ordered any Graduation items (like announcements....) they can be picked up in the Gym at Senior Convention - date TBA. If you do not pick them up at Sr. Convention they will be available in the B&A Office.
Cap & Gowns will be delivered on Wed. May 17th at lunch & after school in front of the B&A Office.

Seniors arrive at 9:30am in the Horseshoe. Seniors in cap & gown will march into the Auditorium. Reception (cake & punch) immediately following ceremony in the WHS Quad. Invite all your friends & family as no tickets are required. This is a GREAT photo opportunity for your Senior & their friends!!

What is "Baccalaureate"?? Prior to virtually every high school graduation, a baccalaureate ceremony is hosted by the high school. This ceremony is a time for faculty, students, parents and all else who attend, to remember the school year and look forward to the future. Some ceremonies feature a video or other artistic way to look back on the year the students have had. It is said that the baccalaureate ceremony tradition started back in 1432 at Oxford University, where the school required every bachelor to read a sermon in Latin as part of their academic exercise. Then over time, it progressed into a partly religious event. Since there are so many denominations and religions in the present day in the United States, religious events are not authorized in the public school system. Due to that fact, that is why the ceremony is now a time of reflection for all students. Typically, the baccalaureate ceremony is hosted at the very end of the school year and is within a month of graduation. Alongside with remembering the school year, some students and faculty also may receive awards at the ceremony to show appreciation for their efforts. The baccalaureate ceremony is free for all people in the community to attend and is occasionally hosted in a church setting. A baccalaureate ceremony is the last opportunity that students may have to reminisce on the year they have had and look forward to their future along with their fellow students.

ADMISSION BY TICKET ONLY
ALL tickets will be distributed after Graduation Rehearsal on Wed. June 1st in the GYM. Please have your photo ID & be prepared to sign that you picked up your tickets. If you still need to turn books in, pay fees/fines then you WILL NOT be able to pick up your DIPLOMA!! Please take care of your obligations so you can get your diploma!!!!
EXTRA Tickets will be available for purchase this year for $5 each because of the added room that will be available because we are graduating at the NEW Pioneer High School Stadium. Buy them beginning MAY 2, avoid the long lines! Tickets will be distributed on Wed June 1st in the GYM AFTER Rehearsal. Extra tickets will be on sale in the GYM on Wednesday & before 3pm of Thur June 2 in the B&A Office. NO Tickets will be sold at the stadium!
GRAD NITE - WHITTIER HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS ONLY
Grad Nite is a PTSA sponsored event. The cost of the ticket pays for the tickets, the buses & the remainder goes towards scholarships for graduating Seniors. Last year we gave $4,000 in scholarships!! This is NOT a school event, WHS Seniors are no longer students. The PTSA provides chaperones that ride the buses with the students, check on them during their time at Disneyland/California Adventure, and make sure they load the buses to return to Whittier.
Tickets on sale beginning December 1st until APRIL 8. We have ordered 10 buses. Buy your ticket at the same time as your friends so you will be on the same bus!
DISNEYLAND/CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE PARK HOPPER date change: SATURDAY, JUNE 4, 2016
Buses load @ approximately 12:00 noon & will leave @ 12:30 pm. Buses will return to WHS by approximately 3am on SUN. JUNE 5

You MUST ride the bus to Disneyland. The cost of the bus is included in your ticket price. No Student driven cars will be allowed. Any extra funds will be used towards scholarships for graduating seniors.
