About the Film

La Serna High School's Film and Media Academy has been working on a film called Paulo's Wall (based off the novel written by one of La Serna's teachers Ms. De Simone). The students have been working on the film for about half a year now in post production beginning their junior year of high school. Going into their senior year the student's teacher Sam Knaak (leader of the students in the film) began having meetings for the students before shooting began so everyone knew what they had to do when it came time to actually produce the film. Knaak believes in his students to do the best they can to make this film spectacular. He is doing a remarkable job leading his students to make the film the best it can be.

The students started to film in the first weeks of August and took a break to settle into there new school year. They struggled for about a month trying to find the perfect actors to play Spook and Loco known as the gangsters who mess with Paulo. Even though the students struggled with their actors they put there hearts into the film and they made things possible to make the film successful.  The students found the right actors and started to film right away.

The main character Paulo is played by Jonathan Ferrios, The Mom is play by Alicia Rosalas and the Uncle is played by Jason Soto known as Cook Book. Charlie Spillane & Kaila Cambell, Film Academy students, co-directed the film. The Film is going to premiere on February 26, 2011 at the La Mirada Starplex Cinemas and the time is to be announced and the students will notify everyone as soon as possible. The film is a great movie about a teenage boy and his struggles, the students hope to see everyone at the premiere and they hope you enjoy all of their hard work on Paulo's Wall.
