California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA)

On November 13th, 2018, Whittier Union High School District's Board of Trustees elected to become subject to the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA) procedures pursuant to Public Contract Code 22032 which provides alternative bid limits for public works  projects and simplifies procedures for authorizing emergency work.
 
CUPCCAA bid limits:
 
  • Public projects of $60,000 or less may be performed by the employees of a public agency by force account, by negotiated contract, or by purchase order (PCC 22032 (a))
  • Public projects of $200,000 or less may be let to contract by informal procedures (PCC 22032 (b))
  • Public projects of more than $200,000 shall, except as otherwise provided in this article, be let to contract by formal bidding procedure (PCC 22032 (c))
 
Licensed contractors who wish to be included in WUHSD's list of qualified contractors to receive notices of inviting bids may fill out the form below. Completion of the form below certifies that the contractor listed is requesting to be included in Whittier Union High School District’s list of eligible contractors to receive notices inviting informal bids.

Note: Effective July 1, 2014, all contractors and subcontractors who bid or work on a public works project must register annually with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
