Synopsis
The Tempest is a play by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written in 1610–11, and thought by many critics to be the last play that Shakespeare wrote alone. The story draws heavily on the tradition of the romance, and it was influenced by tragicomedy. It is set on a remote island, where Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, plots to restore his daughter Miranda to her rightful place using illusion and skillful manipulation. He conjures up a storm, the eponymous tempest, to lure his usurping brother Antonio and the complicit King Alonso of Naples to the island. There, his machinations bring about the revelation of Antonio's lowly nature, the redemption of the King, and the marriage of Miranda to Alonso's son, Ferdinand...more details

The festival features great food, activity booths, music, entertainment, and plenty of fun for all ages! We are pleased to be joined by our friends of the Guild of St. George for the faire.

 
Snacks will be offered before or during intermission and is used as a fundraiser for the production, so please help support the arts by enjoying our great food!
 
Ticket & Seating Info
Tickets for Shakespeare are available prior to the show start only, it's because of this that we recommend you get there at least 1 hour prior to secure your tickets and seating. You may bring your own lawn chairs or blankets, but chairs will be provided. We KNOW you'll enjoy the show and thank you in advance for supporting the La Serna Theater Department.
