The Transition Program serves adult special education students after they have completed their high school experience. The program serves students from the age of 18 - 22 years in a community setting. Students receive instruction across 7 domain areas; Functional Academics, Vocational, Recreation/Leisure, Community/Consumer, Communication, Social/Emotional, Motor/Mobility. Life skills are taught across these domains in their naturally occurring environment. For example, if a student is working on cooking skills, they might create a shopping list.
