ASSEMBLY BILL 2534 - NEW REQUIREMENT EFFECTIVE 1/1/2025
Per Section 44939.5 of the Education Code: )
(c) (1) A person applying for a certificated position at a school district, county office of education, charter school, or state special school shall provide that prospective employer with a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school, and state special school that the applicant has previously been an employee of.
To request information about applicants previously employed by WUHSD in compliance with AB-2534, contact the Personnel Services Department at [email protected]. Be sure to include "AB-2534 Request" in the subject line; and in the request include the applicant's name and their date of birth and/or last four digits of the SSN.
SENATE BILL 848 (SB-848) NEW REQUIREMENT EFFECTIVE 1/1/2026
Per Section 44051 of the Education Code:
(a) (1) A person applying for a noncertificated position at a school district, county office of education, charter school, or state special school or diagnostic center operated by the department, or applying for any position at a private school, shall provide that prospective employer with a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school, state special school and diagnostic center operated by the department, and private school that the applicant has previously been an employee of.
(b) For purposes of this section, noncertificated employees include noncertificated temporary employees regardless of the length of their employment.
