A little bit about me:
I grew up in Downey and Santa Fe Springs.  I graduated from Santa Fe High School where I played Varsity Softball for 4 years.  I lived in Ecuador for a year and a half and pursued my BA in Spanish and minored in ESL at BYU (Brigham Young University) in Provo, UT.  Learning a second language has been a blessing and asset in my life.  I received my MA in Education from Concordia University in 2013. I have been teaching Spanish and life lessons since 1992 at Santa Fe and La Serna. When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking in national parks, cooking, gardening, bike-riding, snow-skiing, and traveling.  I have had the opportunity to visit Guatemala, Spain, Mexico, and Honduras, Canada, England and Wales. 
 
I hope you embrace the Spanish language and practice with family and friends  Making mistakes is all part of learning.  Don't be afraid and DO YOUR BEST!  We are all on the same team and I look forward to watch you succeed!
