PUBLIC NOTICE

 

SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR THE CITIZENS’ OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE

 

 

The Board of Trustees of the Whittier Union High School District is seeking qualified, interested individuals to serve on a committee of community leaders, which will serve as the Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee for the implementation of the District’s Measure AA school facilities bond program.

 

Due to the passage of Measure AA on November 4, 2020, Proposition 39 requires that the District establish a Citizens’ Oversight Committee to monitor project expenditures utilizing bond funds. All positions on the Committee are available to be filled. Interested individuals over the age of 18, who meet the requirements, may apply to serve on the Committee. The Whittier Union High School District Board of Trustees will appoint members to the Citizens Oversight Committee upon recommendations by the selection committee.
