Curriculum Improvement Teams

Curriculum Improvement Teams (CIT) consist of the Department Chairs from all of the high school sites in the following subject areas:

Business

Career and Technical Education

English

Mathematics

Physical Education

Science

Social Science

Special Education

Visual and Performing Arts

World Language

CITs meet quarterly to discuss various subjects related to their academic areas.  CITs are responsible for the following:

Recommend basic and supplemental textbooks to the Board of Trustees for possible adoption.

Review courses of study and recommend to the Board of Trustees for possible adoption.

Share instructional strategies which improve effective teaching.

Review student assessment data to improve curriculum and instruction.

Share other information related to the subject, e.g. conferences, professional publications, etc.

Each CIT is coordinated by an Administrative Liaison assigned to the group.
